Best Seafood buffet on MS Gulf Coast on weekend??Posted by Ignignot on 8/24/10 at 3:47 am
Silver Slipper, Beau Rivage, IP????
Heard of alot but never been to any of them. Which one is the best in your opinion? Thinking about going either this weekend or next. Also if anyone knows about discounts and or deals that'd be awesome too.

I had Silver slippers seafood boofay about a year ago and it was excellent, we went on lobster night. I've never had the Beau's but I couldn't imagine it having much more than the silver slipper did.

silver slipper is i think the best... but there are a ton of local restaurants that are great. If your willing to go to the slipper then take a turn onto menge ave going north in Pass Christian off of hwy 90 and when you come to a 3 way stop, look to your left and there is Old Cuevas Bistro. Good prices, great food and probably the most consistent place on the coast. They also have great specials every night. I wouldn't go in shorts though, put a pair of jeans and a polo or something like that...

Go to the Jourdan River Steamer if you want seafood. It's not a buffet but you can all order some different crab, or one of their platters.

I like the Jumbo King Crab myself. Had one on Friday.
It's a real fun place too.

It's only like $26-28 for 3 clusters of Dungeness, same for snow and king. The 'pinks' they have now are about the same for a pound and a half. Everyone can get one and make a buffet out of it. If you stay away from the swiss baked crab dip and just have beers your meal shouldn't cost that much. I say that, but it cost an arm a leg on Friday.
ETA: I HATE casinos with a passion. Makes me feel like America is so fricked if that is entertainment. WTF is wrong with us? The only thing worse is seeing the land cows move around a buffet.
I'd just go to Trapainis or Old Cuevas Bistro, or French Charlies...somewhere. Frick a casino.
